Academy 1

It’s often said that from little seeds big acorns grow!

Holly Tree Academy aims to provide progressive coaching rather than one off training sessions, using experienced British Show jumping Riders, to significantly improve the riding skills and horse knowledge of our little jockey’s in order to make them more competitive in the sport of show jumping.  It also opens the door for junior and young riders of all standards and experience, combining solid training and encouragement with camaraderie and a sense of teamwork.

The group environment of being coached and watching others being coached (doing and seeing) is invaluable.

The idea of Holly Tree Academy is to develop a ‘culture of improvement’, offer progressive, structured coaching. Develop greater understanding across all areas of horsemanship and recognise there is more to it than just riding! Holly Tree would like to positively impact our academy members, develop competitive edge, spot the stars of the future, have fun and create value for the parents as well as the juniors.

We encourage all types of rider; the academy is for all levels as we hope to improve their riding skills, confidence and relationship with horse/pony significantly and quickly.

The academy is not just about riding, so in their program there will also be other activities for our members to take part in. All activities are aimed to help our riders with all aspects of horse management and care.

The academy is designed to be on going and will take place in school holidays and at weekends, the academy is hoping to build a strong team of quality riders in the North West Area & hope to encourage riders to eventually compete and affiliated level.

To enhance the emphasis on a team spirit we encourage a team saddlecloth which is worn by all members. Overall the academy is about building the bond between horse and rider and having fun and with a bit of luck and hard work produce show jumping stars of the future.

To be part of the Academy riders must be based from Holly Tree to ensure the continuity and quality of coaching. Holly Tree take care of all aspects of training, show planning, and show schedule, transport, and care of horses at home and away from the yard weather training or at shows. Going to shows is hassle free!!! All you have to do is bring the ambition and goal you want to reach and Holly Tree are determined to make that dream a reality.

The Academy has tones of perks and having access to some of the most successful iconic riders is one of them. We regularly hold a clinic with one of the top riders of our sport.  Holly Tree has been lucky enough to work with riders such as Cian O Connor, Billy Twomey, Mark Kinsella, Dave Quigley, Paul Hughes, Paul Sims & Joe Whitaker.

During the school holidays, the academy run week training courses and camps, which really gets our riders up and running and the improvements in these courses are always incredible. We also enjoy taking the riders out to the gallops, beach and cross country training to bring variety and enjoyment to they're training.

All types of packages and training programs can be tailored made to fit our client’s needs, hopes and dreams and also fit in with busy schedules. Carina is always very approachable and more than happy to have a chat about and requirements or quires you may have.

You must own your own and stable your horse/pony at Holly Tree or loan from Holly Tree to become a member of the academy.
